Mary Fritz passed away, Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, due to complications from cancer.
Born April 20, 1955 in Sandusky to Cletus and Virginia (Braeunig) Ritzenthaler.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Fitz of North Plains, Oregon; her children, Benjamin (Serena) Fitz, Amelia (Michael) Ryan and Alana (Jason) Chau; seven grandchildren, Caleb and Lydia Fitz, Alana, Lincoln and Ginny Ryan, and Chloe and Aubrey Chau; her sister, Judith Ehrnsberger; and brother, Joseph (Laura) Ritzenthaler; and Tom's eight siblings, spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Virginia Ritzenthaler; her brother, Jon Ritzenthaler; and Tom's parents, Paul and Agnes Fitz.
Mary loved her family, her friends and her dogs, including their present dog, Joey.
Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon, followed by a Mass of remembrance at St. Mary's Church in Sandusky, Ohio, Friday, April 25, 2025.

Celebrating the wonderful fabulous Mary Fitz.
At work we worked hard and had such fun; the three of us, Cindy Hill, Mary and myself were known as the 3 musketeers.
At home, I admired Mary’s creativity but even more, her wonderful parenting. A loving mother allowing each of her beautiful children to be the best of who they were. And then there were the labs - I remember her telling me her kids saying the dogs got better treatment. I envied her wonderful partnership with her loving Tom, I could see the joy, fun and love they shared.
I’m sad our paths lead us to different locations, but I always have treasured and been honored to have such a beautiful woman in my life.
Thank you Mary for being you and for setting such a beautiful example of how fabulous a woman, partner, mother and friend can be.

She was a lifelong friend. Always positive, even during her battle with her illness. The miles between us, never wavered this precious friendship. My deepest condolences to her beautiful family. She was so proud of each and every one of you. See you in April.
