Nancy L. (Ferguson) Hasenmeier, 89, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Danbury of North Ridgeville, surrounded by her family.

She was born December 3, 1936, in Sandusky, to James and Agnes (McGory) Ferguson.

Nancy graduated from Sandusky High School in 1955. She married her husband, Walter Hasenmeier, January 28, 1956. She and her husband moved to Vermilion in the 70s and enjoyed their life there on the lake. She was employed as a secretary at ARA for many years. Nancy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vermilion. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and traveling.

Nancy is survived by her children, Teresa (John) Wittmer, Penny Hasenmeier, Lisa (Greg) Gianvito, Michael (Cindy) Hasenmeier, and Mark (Deb) Hasenmeier; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, David, James and John Ferguson and a grandson, Chad Ries.

Her funeral Mass will begin at noon Friday January 30, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Parish - Vermilion, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion, with the Rev. Paul Schreiner presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
