Sandusky
Ronald "Mack" McCreery, 79, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born July 28, 1943, in Sandusky, and was a 1961 graduate of Margaretta High School, 40-year employee of Ford Motor Co., and proud U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a member of American Legion Post 83. He loved riding his Harley, watching old movies, NASCAR and sprint car races, and hanging out at Strokers Performance Cycles. Mack was elected into the Margaretta High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012 and was an avid supporter of Margaretta sports, especially girls basketball.
Mack is survived by three daughters, Lisa "John" Kennedy, Andrea "Andy" Widman, and Aimee "Bob Gorby" Sloan, all of Sandusky; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several cousins; and good friends, Dennis (Princetta) Farmer and Georgette (Tim) McCullough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Veronica McCreery; and brother, William McCreery.
Family services will be later. Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, Castalia, is assisting family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Margaretta Boosters, 209 Lowell St., Castalia, Ohio, 44824, or Back to the Wild, Box 423, Castalia, Ohio, 44824.

I have known Mac since I was a little girl running around sandusky speedway. Then as adult he became one of my regular guests when I worked at an area restaurant. I loved to hear the stories of him and my dad was young. Mac always had smile and a hug to share. RIP Mac you will be missed.

Mac was such a huge influence And positive force during my years playing Polar Bear basketball. He and his mother attended every game ready to cheer us onto victory. Godspeed Mac. You are a legend and will not be forgotten.

Margaretta Boosters and students lost a true friend. Mac was best friend to all. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten!

A wonderful caring neighbor on Warren St, Mack is someone you don't forget. He loved the red geraniums he planted every yr. The Margaretta girls bball team was his favorite team to follow. I will miss him: he is most assuredly riding his Harley around heaven today!
