Ruth (Gilbert) Worosher, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2022, at Parkvue Health Care Center.
Ruth was born April 21, 1929, in London, Kentucky, to the late Dexter and Mollie (Pennington) Gilbert.
Ruth lived her young life taking care of her siblings. In 1946, Ruth met and wed her husband, Michael. They moved to California to raise their children. After Mike's passing, they moved to Idaho, and then back to Sandusky.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Deb (Bob) Rigg; grandchildren, Katie Gutierrez, Sean Riggs, Rachel Landis, and Rachel Stephen; great-granddaughter, Isla Gutierrez and two more on the way; sister-in-law, Pearl Worosher; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Worosher; son, Robert Worosher; daughter, Brenda Erickson; sisters, Alma Greene, Marie Hoskins, and Grace Greene; and brothers, Homer, Ray, Howard, Floyd, and Frank Gilbert.
Friends may call 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, until the time of Ruth's funeral at 10:30 a.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Pastor Donald Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
