Sandra Ruth Lewis

Castalia

Sandra Ruth Lewis, 77, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Born June 13, 1947, Sandra dedicated her life to caring for others, a passion clearly evident throughout her esteemed career as a nurse at Ohio Veterans Home.

Sandra graduated from Sandusky High School and furthered her education at the College of Nursing, where she honed the skills that would define her professional and personal life. Known for her loving and caring nature, she nurtured not only her patients but also her family and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

In her leisure time, Sandra was an avid crafter. Her talents in embroidery and sewing were not only a personal joy but also shared with others through her Etsy shop. She delighted in playing games on her phone and cherished moments spent with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Terry; daughters, Teresa, Angela Weiser (Mark) and Ashley (Wayne) Jackson; sons, Jeremy (Beth) Lewis and Steven; grandchildren, Camlyn, Colton, Tristen, Johnny, Landon and Finn; and great-grandson, Brayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gussa and Steve Ellis; brother, Rex Ellis; sister, Margie; and grandson, Alex Weiser.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. The family suggests that those wishing to honor Sandra's memory consider a contribution to Victory Kitchen, a cause close to her heart.

Sandra's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will forever resonate with those she touched. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
