Shirley J. (Ward) Miller, 89, of Castalia, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at The Meadows at Osborn Park, Sandusky.

She was born April 3, 1934, in Sandusky. She attended Sandusky High School and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky. She enjoyed sewing, canning, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jane (Roger) Rowland of Bellevue; two sons, Steven (Holly) Miller and Allen (Casey) Miller, both of Castalia; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry (Debbie) Warner, Paul (Pam) Warner, and Greg (Denise) Warner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2012; parents, Russell and Ethel (Heishman) Ward; and two angel babies.

Visitation for friends will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Shirley's funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Bardshar Road, Sandusky. The Rev. Jen Herrmann will officiate. Burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Back to the Wild, Box 423, Castalia, Ohio, 44824.
