Timothy L. Moots, 67, of Castalia, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026, at his residence.

He was born September 25, 1959, in Sandusky, and graduated from St. Mary's Central Catholic, Sandusky, in 1977. Tim worked as a mechanic at Country Imported Motors in Sandusky for over 40 years. After retirement, he enjoyed his RC car collection and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Moots and her children, Amya Winter, Anthony Winter, Kashton Jordan, and Kalyn Moots; son, Zack (Elizabeth) Moots and their children, Angelena and AJ Moots; daughter, Kimberly (Alonzo) Moots and her daughter, Keilee Bonner; life partner, Kris Thompson; stepdaughter, Lauren Thompson; brother, John (Sue) Moots; nephew, John "JJ" (Priscilla) Moots; special in-laws, Becky Funk and Amy and Keith Eastman; special aunt, Shirley (Vincenz) Meyer; and other relatives and close friends.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Theresa (Fresch) Moots, and numerous aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be from 10 a.m.until time of memorial service at noon, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandusky Blue Streak Baseball team in care of Sandusky High School Board of Education, 407 Decatur St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
