Wanda Ruth (Hart) Jesberger, 100, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday morning, October 2, 2025, at The Meadows at Osborn Park.
Wanda was born December 22, 1924, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Anna (Koshar) Milant.
Wanda is survived by her son, John A. (Donna) Bakewell III of Milan; three daughters, Mary C. Bakewell of Sandusky, Roberta A. (Chris) Wiedle of Sandusky, Susan G. (Dennis Nicoli) Bakewell of Norwalk; eight grandchildren, Jacquelyn A. (Ed) Perez, Michele D. Ryan, Gary A. Dahm, Tracy A. (Dean Runge) Bakewell, John A. Bakewell IV, Matthew B. Bakewell, Diane R. Spicer, Mark D. (Sherry) Bakewell, Richard O. Bakewell; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; step-sister, Elaine Janitor of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Jesberger, in 2004; daughter, Janis Ryan, in 1977; and foster mother, Marie W. Gillingham.
Private family services will take place at a later date. Inurnment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at The Meadows of Osborn Park and Groff Funeral Homes for their compassion and support.
