Wayne Drossman Obituary

Wayne A. "Winky" Drossman

Jun 18, 1950 - Feb 22, 2026

Sandusky

Wayne A. "Winky" Drossman, 75, Sandusky, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born in Sandusky, June 18, 1950. Wayne was a 1968 graduate of Sandusky High School and enlisted in the Army after graduating and fought in Vietnam in the 2/1 Calvary "Blackhawks" 4th Infantry Division, receiving the C.I.B. medals for action in combat.

Wayne liked to read, work in his yard and garden, cook, BBQ, and help his wife around the house. He loved playing the drums and was very proud of his son, Brian, for following in his footsteps by enlisting in the Army Infantry, and his son went a step further by earning his wings and becoming a paratrooper. Most of all, Wayne loved sitting with his wife, Angela.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Angela F. (Market) Drossman; son, Brian Wayne Drossman; grandsons, Logan "Opie" and Hunter "Spanky"; sister, Robin (Drossman) Zess; sister-in-law, Connie Drossman; brother-in-law, Mike Market; and special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Albert Drossman; mother, Leatrice (Faulkner) Schmidt; stepfather, William "Bill" Schmidt; brother, Gary L. "Fuzz" Drossman; and brothers-in-law, Ollie Zess and Tony Muratori.

At his request, cremation will take place, with a private family military service at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

Angie; "Big Sista" thank you too, for being in our corner, when we needed it.
