JoAnn Damko, 92, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home in Columbus.

JoAnn was born Dec. 28, 1931, in Willard, to Selby and Marie O'Neill, and was a resident of Sandusky most of her life.

JoAnn graduated from Willard High School in 1949. She graduated from Providence School of Nursing in Sandusky in 1952. She worked in various hospitals over the years, as well as many years as a nurse at Cedar Point First Aid.

She is survived by her brother, Patrick (Sue) O'Neill; son, William (Jean) Damko; daughter, Ellen (David) Brink; grandchildren, Nicholas, Samuel (Meghan), and Mary Damko; and many nieces and nephews.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stephen Damko; sister, Rosemary Chalfin; and brothers, Richard and Thomas O'Neill.

Cremation and burial have been arranged by Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory and a private memorial service will be observed.
