She was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Toledo, and grew up with her family during the Great Depression and endured the hardships of World War II, Korean War, Cold War, and Vietnam War. After moving to Castalia, Sue enjoyed working at Blue Hole gift shop until they closed down.
Sue loved sewing and made her children many of their clothing as they were growing up. She continued her sewing, making blankets and quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sue was also an avid gardener and spent many hours working in her yard.
Sue was also a talented artist and took great pleasure in making many creative drawings for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sue was loved by her family and friends and always enjoyed being with them. She really loved her trips to Port Angeles and staying with family.
