Michele Ann Hedberg, 60, of New London and formerly of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at University Hospitals of Elyria.

She was born Aug. 31, 1961, in Sandusky, to the late Charles and Sharon (Dahm) Hedberg, and graduated from St. Mary High School.

Michele was known as a good baker and yearly made Christmas cookies, along with a multitude of craft projects. She was also known to always be reading a variety of books. She had many cats, dogs, and other animals in her life. She leaves behind her eight-year-old dog, Storm, who she loved wholeheartedly. She worked many jobs throughout the years after working at National Appliance for over 30 years. She was a sacrificial person who did everything in her power to raise her granddaughter, Jaydyn.

Michele is survived by her granddaughter, who was her entire world, Jaydyn Ann Hedberg; sons, Joseph James Hedberg of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jayson (Ashley) Paul Hedberg of Columbia, South Carolina, and Jordan Michael Strieter of Kentucky; stepmom, Marilyn Hedberg of Huron; sister, Tonya (Tracy) Schilling of Huron; brother, Michael (Shelly) Hedberg of Orrville; decades-long best friend, Shelly Lager of Florida; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Cremation will take place. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, until time of memorial services at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
