Robert Bruce Snyder

Robert Bruce "Bob" Snyder passed away peacefully Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Bob was born Aug. 12, 1937, to Ralph W. Snyder and Cleo Coonrod Snyder. Bob was a graduate of Sandusky High School in 1955 and entered Bowling Green State University, but enlisted in U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. After his honorable discharge from the Corps, Bob graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1966. Bob furthered his education at California State University Long Beach and received his Master of Arts in 1971.

In 1971, Bob and Margaret (Peggy) McGinnis were married and spent two years in Korea with U. S. Peace Corps. Returning to Ohio, they settled in the Toledo/Bowling Green area where Bob worked in the education field, first at Bowling Green State University and finally at University of Toledo where he completed his Graduate Studies in 1989.

Bob is survived by his sisters, Shirley Price of San Marcos, Texas, and Sharon (William) Dencer of Galena; nieces and a nephew; grandnieces and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, in 2018; brother, Sam; and nephew, John.
