Sandra "Sandi" Mischler
Oct 5, 1939 - Jul 12, 2023
Lynnwood, WA
Sandra "Sandi" Sue (Faber) Mischler, was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Sandusky, to Erwin and Rita (Feuerstein) Faber. She wanted to live to 100, but God had different plans and needed her in Heaven sooner, so she danced her way into heaven at age 83. She was residing in Lynnwood, Washington, where she passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Sandi graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. She completed her cosmetology degree and owned and operated "Faberette Salon" in Sandusky for many years. Sandi was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky, and is a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She married Donald H. Mischler in May, 1965, and they had two daughters, Michele Marie (Mischler) Adams and Erica (Ann) Mischler Ryan, who currently reside in Seattle, Washington.
Sandi raised her daughters in Sandusky where she was very active in their lives as their Campfire Girls leader, taking them on camping trips and adventures and shuttling them to their many practices including gymnastics, track, basketball, swimming, and tennis. You name it, they tried it. After the girls graduated high school and went on to college and her husband passed, Sandi decided that she needed a new and bigger adventure, so she decided to become a long-haul truck driver known as the "Road Rambler." She loved to share stories about the places she had visited and all the people she had met along the way. Lord knows she could talk to anyone anywhere at any time.
Some would call Sandi feisty, spunky, or even mischievous, and all would have been great descriptors, but she was also known to be kind-hearted and a lover of the arts, nature, and animals. She loved to travel and go on adventures and even visited all 50 of the United States. In her spare time, she enjoyed conversations over coffee and cigarettes (until the doctor made her quit smoking, then it was just coffee), painting, drawing, camping, road trips, family vacations, and all of her many collections. She was especially fond of butterflies.
Sandi is survived by her daughters, Michele (Joe) Adams and Erica (Ed) Ryan, both of Seattle, Washington; grandson, Cole Adams of Seattle, Washington; sister, Carol (Dave) Michaux of Sandusky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives that she has passed on her dancing skills to.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald H. Mischler; and brother, Don Faber.
