Wayne H. "Ike" Lippert Sr., 86, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Castalia, and attended Margaretta High School. He proudly served in U.S. Army and was a life-long farmer. Ike worked in the Labors Local #480, Sandusky, and for the Operators Engineers Local #18, Cleveland, for many years. He spent his time working on and restoring antique tractors and was a member of Firelands Tractor Club and Antique Tractor Club. Ike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to Christian music. His favorite bible verse was Romans 10:13 - "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." And his wife and son look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey (DeHenning) Lippert; son, Wayne Lippert Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Ike was preceded in death by his parents, William and Minnie (Gurtz) Lippert; sister, Irma Neill; and brothers, Artie, Bill, and Kenny Lippert.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor H. Wayne Keith will officiate. Burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.
