Deanna J. (Tigges) Ellis, 62, residing in Vickery, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Deanna was born Dec. 24, 1959, in Sandusky, to Donna J. (Burrows) Tigges and the late Duane G. Tigges Sr.

Deanna was a 1978 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was an avid animal lover who adored pot-belly pigs, as well as her beloved puppies, Ruby and Hayes. She enjoyed music, fishing, and collecting Fenton Art Glass, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren, especially her adorable great-grandchildren.

Deanna is survived by her mother, Donna J. Tigges of Sandusky; two daughters, Dana Tigges of Clyde and Amanda Cole of Urbana, Ohio; Joseph Darr of Bellevue, who was like a son to her; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Trae, Ammitti, Skybree, Kiarah, and Cheyenne; five great-grandchildren, Jessilynn, Hazel, Phoenix, Savyah, and Allazar; brother, Duane (Jane) Tigges Jr. of Sandusky; sister, Diane Templeton of Willoughby, Ohio; two nieces, Becki (Mike) Schnittker of Sandusky and Stephanie (Jeffrey Gough) Gallaro of Danbury; and nephew, Adam Templeton of Willoughby.

In addition to her father, Deanna was preceded in death by her spouse, Roger Ruffing.

Private family services will take place at a later date.
